alice fox - textures of spurn

during 2012 alice was artist in residence at spurn national nature reserve, east yorkshire: a remote and ever changing spit of land that protrudes into the mouth of the Humber estuary.

using rust prints from found objects on the beach and making collagraph prints with collected items, alice is making marks on cloth and paper that are directly of the place.

this project is supported by yorkshire wildlife trust and by the national lottery, through arts council england.

hannah lamb - in search of green

hannah’s work aims to develop a greater awareness of our relationship with environment; she records time and place by drawing with stitch and mark making onto cloth.

nature prints and found objects become incorporated into textural surfaces that reference specific walks or seasonal changes. these garments present a personal and sensuous response to the aire valley landscape of river and woodland during early spring.
