Charity shop finds will be used for the outer material, if you want to bring in your own then please fetch ½ of fabric.

DIY RE-UPHOLSTERY - DROP IN SEAT
Saturday 1st October
There are some gorgeous dining chairs that just need to be brought back to life with a new seat! Bring one along and we will show you how to re-upholster. This workshop is ideal for those who want to start off with a nice and easy project that can be completed within the day.
Note: If you have a different chair that you want to re-upholster please book onto our 6wk class.
All tools and materials are provided except for the outer fabric. You can bring this with you (size of seat + 20cms all the way around) or you can purchase from the tutor at an extra cost)
REVAMP YOUR OLD FURNITURE - PAINTING TECHNIQUES
Sunday 16th October
10.30 - 12:30pm
You will spend the morning in the bowery studio learning various furniture painting techniques using the infamous Annie Sloan chalk paint. You will work on several pieces of wood panels as samples so you can go home and bring new life to an old, tired piece of furniture.
No prior experience is needed
We will supply two colours of Annie Sloan chalk paint and all other materials needed.
PATTERN CUTTING - HOW TO RESIZE A PATTERN
Saturday 22nd Octoberr
If you are in between sizes or larger on the top than the bottom, then this workshop is for you! You will learn how a commercial pattern is graded so you can amend it with confidence. The workshop will cover skirt, bodice (which put together will make a dress) and sleeves. We will work on A4 scaled down patterns to build up a portfolio that you can take away.
Although this workshop is aimed at beginners in pattern cutting, it would best suited to those who have made a simple skirt, top or dress in the past. Everything provided.
ZIPPER DI DO DAH!
Sunday 30th October
Learn how to do a concealed, centre and lapped zip for all your dressmaking projects. Once mastered, you will never worry about putting in zips again! You will take home an example of each technique with instructions.
This workshop is aimed at beginners, but you will need to be able to sew in a straight line. Everything provided.
DIY RE-UPHOLSTERY – ADVANCED BEGINNERS
Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th November

You’ve learnt the basics on a footstool/dining room chair, now it’s your chance to get creative!! Bring in any item of furniture and learn more advanced techniques in re-upholstery. Important Information: The class has a max of 6 people for your comfort and more tutor time. Although you can bring any chairs to this session it must be small enough to be carried through the coffee shop and up a flight of stairs. All materials for re-uphosltering your chair inc outer fabric can be bought from the tutor at cost price.
The tutor is also happy to correspond with individuals if they want to buy their own outer fabric.
MAKE A SILVER RING

This jewellery making workshop will introduce you to the core metalwork techniques through a ring-making project. The results from your handiwork won’t disappoint!
This class is aimed at complete beginners, but all welcome!
STAINED GLASS - ANGEL TREE DECORATIONS
Saturdaty 12th November
Get yourself into the festive mood and create a pair of stained glass christmas angels to hang on your tree. You will learn how to cut and shape the glass and how to prepare it for copper foiling. This is a great project for those who have never done stained glass before. Everything provided.
SCREEN PRINTING CHRISTMAS CARDS
Saturdaty 19th November
Design and print your own edition of Christmas cards. You will be guided through the screen printing process using hand cut paper stencils, create your own imagery and print a set of cards to take home.
All materials including cards and envelopes will be provided.
ROTARY PRINTED GIFT WRAP

Learn a fun new printing technique which is easy try at home. You will design and rotary-print a collection of Christmas themed gift wrap. Perfect to give your presents that little handmade touch. All materials will be provided.
